She has now become one of the richest women in the world and with that is one of the most well-known philanthropists, so she uses her money to help people around the world. The Oprah Winfrey Show has helped make people aware of global issues and gets all her fans involved. She inspires many people to do their part to help out too. Oprah Winfrey had a very tough childhood. She went through a lot but it made her a stronger person today. There she taught her how to read and by age 3 she was considered a gifted child in the community.

At age six she then moved to Milwaukee to live with her mother who started a new job and worked very long days. Oprah was home alone for many hours during the day and when her mother was absent she was repeatedly molested by male family members and lasted from age Everything started to go downhill from here because she ran away and was sent to a juvenile detention home, then to be denied because all beds were full.

After all that she was out of the house and on her own and about a year later she ended up pregnant but after giving birth she lost the baby to unknown reasons. She then moved to Nashville, Tennessee to live with her father and started to turn her life around. She has devoted her time, skills, attention, and resources towards making the world a more prosperous place for others by educating, motivating, inspiring and rescuing people all over the world.

I really enjoy the effort put in. To begin with, Oprah Winfrey was born into poverty to a single mother in Mississippi and faced many difficulties and grievances throughout her childhood years. She was sexually abused by her uncle, cousin, and family friend and became pregnant at the age of fourteen; her son died a short while after.

Oprah then moved to Tennessee with her father where she began her career in the entertainment business. In addition to those organizations, Oprah has also gave out her sincere wishes and help to those poor souls who have been affected by the Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina. She donated over one million dollars to the Tsunami relief fund and ten million to those who were gravely affected by the disaster of Katrina. Growing up with a childhood full of hardships and being able to overcome them truly makes Oprah Winfrey an inspiration to everyone.

Her selflessness, generosity, and general love and compassion for human kind has brought so many changes to our society that cannot be overlooked. Her immense perseverance and selflessness are just two contributing factors that make her the person she is today; a hero.

She created the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa, where girls learn to use their full capacity to become excellent decision makers and the next leaders of our generation. The best African American teachers and administrators will be appointed in this school to help the girls excel in their knowledge and education. Not only is she the founder of the school, but the Oprah Winfrey Foundation contributed ten million dollars to maintain it as well. Oprah is helping to fight the battle against illiteracy one step at a time, and through her actions against it, she creates a foundation that many other people can follow.

By giving so much importance to education, she becomes an inspiration and motivation that encourages girls all around the world to pursue their education further. Oprah Winfrey had a very tough childhood. Oprah has unique leadership skills in terms of compassion, ethics, inspiration and justice. She has the ability inspire people because she conforms to what is right and she fights for it. ImportantAlthough she is unable to help everybody, she has the effort to back it up. What hasnt she done? From fundraisers to giving money away to being able to become one of the richest people in the world, and the richest women in the world, and the richest black women in the world. As so many celebrities lives have been eaten up by temptations and vices, it is refreshing to see that Oprah provides an example of the polar opposite.

She demonstrates the altruism that we find so admirable in our heroes. The average person can still relate to her. I never knew Oprah had such a devastating childhood! That makes her that much more admirable. I had always been so impressed with her selflessness, but this new knowledge has really made me appreciate her that much more. Her story is inspirational to countless people in which if they apply themselves and really work hard, they can achieve success. No one is excluded from the opportunity of having a successful life.

Oprah Whinfrey is one of the greatest, richest, powerful, black women alive. The hopes that she has given black women is greatful.

She has opened so many doors for young women today it amazes me. Oprah was truely blessed by God and the thing that really stands out about her is the fact that she is using all her wealth for good.

Without that journey and without her vivacious character, Oprah would not be the amazing woman she is today. Her ability to connect with her guests and allow them to feel safe and secure is a true gift that not many have.
